Preservation & Restoration
The Gateway Community is known for its oak tree canopy along Gateway Boulevard, and the thousands of oak tress that make the individual neighborhoods something special. The mature oak trees that shade the community, help clean the air, and improve water quality are loved by many residents, visitors, and businesses throughout Gateway.
Unfortunately, there are some who do not like the oak trees, and would prefer they all be removed. The goal of this initiative is to organize those who want to preserve / restore the oaks, and educate ourselves, neighborhood associations, and local governing body members on the benefits of oak trees not only to the environment but to the value of the overall Gateway community.
Keeping everyone aware of what associations and local governing bodies are planning takes time and effort. Please sign up for the mailing list, and feel free to provide any ideas you think will help us preserve the oaks, thank you.
