4/07/22 CDD Regular Meeting
The CDD met on 4/7/22 and during that meeting the CDD Interim Manager stated that she had received several calls about the oak trees near Griffin and Gateway Blvd. She also advised that the CDD staff had turned off the irrigation to the median in that area because of infrastructure projects that took place over the last 6 months. They left the irrigation off because they anticipated construction on the round-a-bout to begin in May 22. That has now been pushed back to Nov 22, so they planned to turn the irrigation back on. I also spoke directly with the Interim manager who stated that the CDD has done nothing to damage the oak trees. We are hoping that they are just staying dormant longer because of lack of water, but we really don’t know as of this time. We will keep everyone posted if we find anything out, and we are hoping this was not an intentional act by someone to damage these oak trees.
